The production of the BRCW Type Two, later known as the class 26, began in 1958. Celebrate this historic anniversary at the Caledonian Railway's 2008 Diesel Gala.

Two class 26s, including the oldest operational example, will be running alongside 27024 during the three day event.

Visitors can also look forward to some brilliant photo opportunities; the two green class 26s will be running with the Caledonian Railway's set of maroon coaches.
